We have performed countless projects for Bartlett Cocke, Baird Williams Construction, American Contractors, Manhattan Construction, Spaw Glass Construction, Brath Construction, Cloud Construction, and many other General Contractors throughout Texas who rely on our expertise to complete projects.

Carlson Young – President / Operations

Carlson’s journey in Commercial painting started in 1993 working with Ralph Arnold Painting while attending his freshman year of college, where he was employed as a painter and drywall finisher, later expanding to estimator, and project manager.  After Mr. Arnold retired in 1993, Carlson started A & Y Painting as sole proprietor and later to A & Y Painting LLC, as Lead Project Manager and Lead Estimator. More recently A & Y Painting has been retired and Armadillo High Performance Coatings has taken its place. Carlson graduated from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1996, with a BBA in Management.  He also has OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training in HazCom and HazMat, and also has First Aid and SCUBA training.

Carlson visits job sites in field operations 3-4 days a week, develops strategies and safety practices, and updates schedules with job foremen to insure on time and under budget projects.
